ERAS Society was established in 2010 to improve perioperative care worldwide. Education and implementation of a vast variety of guidelines within the ERAS program is now disseminated to all continents.
SwERAS is the Swedish Chapter of the ERAS Society, and was founded in November 2017. Our aim is to improve recovery after surgery by promoting evidence based education, understanding, audit and research regarding optimal postoperative outcome. Hospitals practicing the guidelines are achieving dramatic decreases in hospital length of stay and a decline in postoperative complications.
SwERAS has a broad base and is engaging all kinds of healthcare professionals. We hold an annual conference in November. Welcome to join us in our work to improve the perioperative care!
